One of the northermost cypress swamps in the States, the Cache River State Natural area is home to Cypress trees that are over 1000 years old. This is shot from the hiking trail (no boat), and was just a sampling of the scores of cypress trees all around. #treetrove

“This is our 3rd stay here as it is half way between home and our family visit. Don't judge a book, or in this case, a motel by its exterior. For a roadside motel, the interior is very well done; new flooring, comfortable beds, fridge, microwave and very clean. An added bonus is the adjacent restaurant (where you check in) is a must. Home cooking at it's finest. Saturday night buffet from 9pm to midnight. A big hit with the truckers. Your stay also includes a free hot breakfast which is new this...

“When i went to check in i didn't have any expectations. I was on tight budget, 3 days of a conference and was happy i found a room at that price litteraly 10 min from the big fancy hotel where the conference taking place. I was happy to see how the room was super clean, comfortable, and had small extra that made me have wonderful night sleep. The owners are descrete and nice people who are working hard to keep the room spotless. I'll definitly come back next year when going to the conference”
