Case in affitto a Inchkeith

“The toilet was so high up i couldn't do a sh*t. I'm six foot tall, but when I was sat on the toilet my feet were not touching the ground. Overall, the place was pretty bleak, e.g. no mirror in the bedroom to check my outfit, only one pillow so I got neck ache in bed, no towel rail or hooks anywhere in the bathroom so couldn't hang up a towel, no hook in the bedroom to hang up a coat, no toilet roll holder. These things are not expensive to install. The bathroom floor was a bit dirty when...

“We really enjoyed our stay in the Shepherds Hut and the views were amazing. The only disappointment was that there was no welcome pack providing instruction on how things worked. There was also no telephone contact details in case of any issues, etc. When we arrived there was not hot water and it was only by trial and error that we managed to find out that the gas bottle was empty, luckily the other bottle was full and I was aware how to manually change them over. We did send messages asking for...

“Property was tidy, simple and fairly straightforward in terms of settling in. Once we figured out the heating - no instructions - we got the place warm. An excellent wood burner really made the lounge - plus bringing in two bedside lights for ambient lighting - and was generously supplied with kindling and wood. The walks around the property and up into the woods were ideal for dog walks. The kitchen was pleasant, functional and suitably kitted out, although the fluorescent striplighting was...

“The place was just what we needed for the 5 of us. Nice accommodations close to lots of things.”

“Das Haus war schön eingerichtet, alles sauber und ordentlich und alles vorhanden was man so braucht. In der Umgebung ist alles was man täglich braucht fußläufig erreichbar und auch die Anbindung an den öffentlichen Verkehr ist gut.”

“Man muss fürs Parken extra noch einmal zahlen, Kinderbetten sind eher Babybetten.”

“Overall the property was good but some things to note. 1. Hot water wasn’t working when we arrived. They had someone over within 2 hours to check it, and did end up fixing it within about 4 hours, it was frustrating after a long travel day. 2. The mattress was not very good and the bedding looked run down. 3. There is a little patio type thing that could be accessed by the bedroom, however the furniture out there looked dirty and it didn’t appear it was cleaned at all ever. Should just remove...

“Pros-comfortable bed, private garden area, nicely updated kitchen and bathroom and central location Cons-uncomfortable couch, wobbly table and only 2 towels provided for 8 nights. Had to buy an entire box of laundry soap as host didn't provide any (left for next traveler). This has been provided at every previous vrbo in north america and Scotland”

“Close to the train and grocery store. Quaint home, clean and comfortable. Loved staying here.”

“The host gave great detail about checking and things to do in the area. It was very comfortable and was convenient to have 2 bathrooms for our family. I would stay there again!”

“The property was great, the location was perfect in west end, but the management company doesn’t do their job. I struggled to get any responses from them after multiple attempts over months to get check in information and didn’t manage to get any information until a few hours before check in when I had already landed in Edinburgh. I had to contact VRBO multiple times to get them to contact the management company so I could get a response. I also sent a message in advance requesting a late...
