“I used the hot tub. Breakfast was about average. I paid more for a room with a patio but wasn't worth it, a small concrete enclosure with a high wooden fence.”

“Honestly it was a surprisingly nice room that had fairly good sound dampening, which was great as every room was booked around us. The one problem we had was the pool area was under construction and they started at 8am which was loud and woke us up, and the construction also took over the small dog station area making it difficult for my doggos. But overall it was a nice stay on comfortable and clean beds.”

“Barely a 3 star, glass door to outside stuck, coffee. Maker did not work, room small and beach access was nonexistent for us in our 70’s, too steep and I slid down trail. Unfortunately would not recommend.”

“This place looks nothing like the picture shown on Expedia. It is old and dirty…! We left and went to the Seabird which was clean and lovely…just as advertised!”

“We had a wonderful stay! The room was clean and had everything we needed. We loved the back patio and open space to the garden, the short walk to a semi-private beach, and the pickle ball courts. The property was well maintained. The renovations and overall design of the room was great too— you can tell they put a lot of thought into it to make sure guests feel comfortable and relaxed throughout their stay.”

“Anchor Lodge was beautiful! We had such a fun stay and it was amazing waking up hearing the sea lions and watching the boats. Highly recommend this hotel.”

“Excellent for the price. Spacious room. I love the heater in the bathroom which is perfect for those chilly mornings. I like the decor and aesthetics. There’s road noise but after dark it significantly drops. Would absolutely return to stay again!”

“Great stay . Great big beautiful window view of the ocean . While the rooms may be a bit outdated they are still cute and the bed was really comfortable. Everything was clean . No dusty or dirty surfaces , nice outdoor chairs that were also clean. The parking lot was clean and felt safe . The staff was friendly, check in and check out went smooth. My only one suggestion/ complaint. I have a kid in a wheel chair and need van accessible parking ( I did request it ) . There were only 2 handicap...

“The view from our room made the stay worth it all. The shower was perfect. The pool said closed but it wasn’t. They keep the cover on to keep it warm but it wasn’t warm. The free breakfast is so so. Not great but not bad. The property is pretty but could use some work. Just like the rooms. The bed was comfy enough. It could have been better but it could have been worse!! Staff was super kind! Natalie was very nice and friendly. ”

“Ocean was not visible from our room, but we didn’t care. The gardens were absolutely beautiful, the staff very nice and she upgraded our room without us even asking. We will definitely be coming back! ”
