Of course there are newer and plusher hotels but this place takes some beating for its idyllic location, courteous and professional service, cleanliness, comfort and good value restaurant. “I was warmly welcomed to this B&B. It is a beautiful house set in extensive grounds. From my window I had lovely views of the garden and beyond. The room was beautifully decorated and the bedding was soft and comfortable. With the warmth of the welcome and the excellent breakfast I would agree this is an excellent 4* and worthy of its great reviews.”

“A warm welcome was followed by a warm and cosy room. The kippers for breakfast were piping hot and the egg poached to perfection. Breakfast was included in room price, and served to you table. The location is very central to the town, and the host was most helpful. ”
