Inn a Isola di Okamura

“One of the best hotel in hiroshima”

“Loved the self-serve washing machine after a long wet day riding the shimanamo kaido trail”

“Perfect place to stay in the middle of the Shimanami Kaido bike ride. Very warm staff. Excellent breakfast. Excellent views. Bike-friendly place with beautiful grounds. We had our own "cabin" with ocean view. We were given a ride by the staff to and from an island restaurant for dinner.”

“Great half-way stay on our cycling trip of the Shimanami Kaido. Very small room so somewhat overpriced for what you get, but location was fantastic, everything was very clean, & the on-site restaurant was so delicious!”

“Simple hotel that has everything you’d need for a short stay. Unfortunately the bath does not allow tattoos so I could not partake. The staff were very helpful when I requested an extra pillow and allowed me to pick between a harder and softer one. Convenient location to bus stop and the rental bike shops.”

“The building looked old from the outside and lobby but once on the guest floor recent updates are noticeable. room spacious and clean. had the amenities in room plus some at the front if needed. yukata provided in room as well, was comfortable and clean. WiFi was good. Front desk staff member that checked me in was cheerful. A single elevator in use.”

“Quiet and spacious hotel, 15 minutes by train from Hiroshima, 150 mt walk from the HigashiHiroshima station. Breakfast very good. Pay attention to train timetable, there is just one connection to Hiroshima every hour and the last train from Hiroshima is at 23.”

“Great! Would stay again!”

“This was our (family of four age 9 and 11 kids) first Ryokan experience. It was incredible. We loved the authentic Japanese feel. It was an adventure getting there on a boat and we rented bikes next door for a beautiful all day ride. It’s a great spot to ride from in the middle of the Kaido. If you want a traditional, relaxing stay—book this! We hope to return. (We did 2 rooms with 2 people each because the bedrooms are smallish.)”

“This place was perfect for our multi-family group coming through for the Shimanami Kaido. The place was immaculately clean and had everything we needed even slippers. It was a beautiful authentic Japanese space with all the modern amenities. There’s not a lot around but Family Mart is about a 5 min bike ride away. We ordered breakfast through this stay with Wakka which was about a less than min bike ride away. I would definitely recommend this place - a great value stay.”
