“We were glad we rented a car to get around. You need to have reservations for dinner or you will not be able to eat. Lastly, make sure you ask for instructions on how to run the hot water on for showering, I figured it out, but it took a while. The house is beautiful and great for families with young kids, they have a play room for kids.”

“The property is a historic residence converted for hospitality. It's lovingly restored with modern facilities comfortable for westerners while still feeling like you're in historic Japan. The owners were amazing with coordination and really friendly. Would definitely go back and would stay longer next time!”

“The owner and staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. They, thankfully, held my luggage before check in and well after check out so I could maximize my sightseeing in Naoshima. My room was well-appointed though small, but good for someone who doesn’t travel with large suitcases.
