“Had we known this property was going through a remodel of some kind we never would’ve stayed. Staff really wasn’t friendly… breakfast wasn’t that good. No batter for the waffle maker… breakfast sausage definitely recooked/ overcooked. In comparison to the AmericInn we stayed at in Manitowoc last month which was a strong 9, this was a 4 and that’s being generous. “My friends and I stayed for a weekend getaway and we were impressed by the decor and how charming the hotel was! The adjoining rooms aren't very big and there is one mini fridge for both rooms but we were able to make it work. The staff was all very nice and their private beach was great.”

“The room is more like a motel room than a hotel room. The huge windows are lovely. Everything is in very good condition. Unfortunately, instead of a view of the river, we looked out onto the grey car park. The room was far too expensive for that. So if you’re booking, make sure you book a room on the west side. By European standards, the breakfast was a disaster.”

“Very comfortable room and nice hotel . My only complaint is about Expedia! It’s impossible to have a live conversation if you have to make an adjustment to the reservation. The only option is a AI chatbot or a Chat with an agent after working your way through the Chatbot . Better to book directly with Holiday Inn Express. Even then, I couldn’t talk directly to the Hotel and could only talk to the corporate customer service representatives. But at least I could have a real conversation with them.”

“Tiki Beach Resort. Road 2 Hours to Hotel to have owners claim that Hotels.com has scammer that is booking their resort without their knowledge. Said that cabin I paid for on Hotels.com was not available. The owners felt bad for me and were going to get me lodging. First, stating they were putting me in a nicer property closer to my destination. But ultimately provided a room in motel further from my destination and way less expensive than what I paid for.
