“Beds were filthy, the phone was dirty”

“Stayed here for a night while passing through. The staff was great—the woman at the front desk was maybe the nicest hotel clerk I’ve ever interacted with. Our room was clean but had a weird smell to it like maybe someone had smoked or vaped in it, but I travel with an air purifier, so that took care of it.”

“The reception desk person was very nice and made sure I was able to access the room okay. I was happy that this property was pet friendly. At first glance the room looked good, but when I laid down and looked at the ceiling, I noticed a bunch of red stains above the bed. The area of town the property is in is rundown and a little sketchy and once I got in the room, I locked the door and didn't leave until I checked out in the morning.”

“We chose to pay at the property with cash and had to put a cash deposit(refundable) with what we paid for the room. But I dont remember seeing or reading that there would be a "cash deposit" for a "cash transaction" on the website. When I asked what the deposit was for the lady was a little snippy and stated it would be for any damages found. We are old so highly unlikley we would create any damages! When checking out there was no one at the desk so we had to check out with the "kiosk...
