“Excellent floor plan in this three bedroom log home with wrap around porch. Clean and comfortable. Including the mattresses were very comfortable for a good night sleep after a long day of hiking. Whirlpool was clean and a great additive for relaxation. There was a couple neighborhood beagles that greeted us daily. They were not obnoxious, in fact, we looked forward to seeing them when we came back to the cabin. Thank you host for a great, uneventful stay! ”

“Friends and I reserved Smallwood for a hiking trip in the area. We loved the location so close to the Red River Byway, Natural Bridge, Double Arch, and so much more. We ended up with an extra person who stayed at Natural Bridge Resort State Park which was nice and close. We enjoyed having the visitor center nearby and loved that the person behind the desk was a naturalist author who had coauthored a book on area wildflowers. “Property was well maintained and beautiful scenery we were a bot could in the night but it was in the 50s when we came this would be a perfect spot in the summer heat well shaded and nice hiking trails and a great location over all.”
