“The Virginia Guesthouse is a new hotel and conference center, right next to the University of Virginia. The staff were very friendly and helpful! Including providing a late checkout at 12 instead of 11, and holding our bags in their luggage check while we were still in town for the afternoon after checkout. “Nice room, clean, great amenities, decent breakfast. Had a few issues, no working fan in the bathroom (found out the hard way lol), and tub faucet had a fast leak that we reported, but no one came to fix. Keeping the door closed made it very humid in there. Was offered another room but decided to stay since we got in so late and wouldn’t be using the room much. Friendly staff, would stay there again.”

“This property is actually a very run down motel. The three story facility does not even have an elevator! When we found this out we asked for a first floor room only to find that the room was actually UNDERGROUND up to the window sill and faced directly on to the parking lot (i.e lined up with the car exhaust pipes!) The only positive note was the courtesy shown by the staff member at the reception desk. We did not spend the night there.”
