“We have been coming here for the last few years for the Durango Iron Horse Classic tour. We stay in the cabins. The cabins are cleans, beds are comfortable, and the property is chill. The cabins have running water and air conditioning. Great bargain overall.”

“Old style motel on Durango’s main road with southwest decor. I slept in the little “cozy” room filled with a queen size bed which was perfect for my one night stay. Little fridge and electric kettle for tea or pour-over coffee in the room. The office staff was welcoming and helpful. Very clean. One bedside light was not working, but I didn’t care so I didn’t report it until I left. I’m sure they would have taken care of it if I had. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a simple,...

“Far from Downtown, on the main road (noisy), broken tiles in bathroom, air conditioner loud and did not cool the room much, single-ply toilet paper, no shampoo/conditioner, door lock very difficult to open with actual brass key. Room was clean. Pricepoint was good but not considering the condition. We were disappointed.”

“The rooms were dirty, we had two and they were both equally as dirty. Do not believe the pictures you see, they had to be photoshopped. I have a policy that we don’t stay in hotels that have outside doors, no picture showed that they are. We felt so unsafe and it was not just because of the doors on the outside, it is one a family would want not to stay in. We didn’t stay 2 minutes and left, thankfully there was another hotel that had rooms.”

“Breakfast in inconsistent”

“I booked the hostel room. It started with a rude and impatient receptionist that was more busy running around vaping than trying to help. When I did ask for help she said she is not a manager and can't help me and was just impatient and rude. As for the room... You get some linen to cover your bed. There is a sheet and then some sort of quilt (not an actual blanket or comforter) that is so smooth that it never stays on the actual sheet. I could not stay covered with that thing and was cold...

“We loved staying at the Gable House along with our dog. The owners and staff were wonderful. We plan to stay there again. We appreciated the 40 amp EV charging onsite for free. This made our travels very easy. We stayed three nights. The breakfast was also wonderful.”

“Front desk staff was not friendly for check in. Pool and hot tub were out of service, which was not disclosed. Breakfast was limited and out of silverware and coffee with nobody restocking the 20 minutes we were in the lobby. Would not stay again. Not worth the already steep cost.”

“The room smelled horribly of marijuana. I used a full can of Febreze and it wouldn’t help. They offered to switch me rooms, but I had booked three together for a family vacation and they were only willing to move one. Breakfast was not great. The outdoor patio with a fire pit picture was extremely enticing. Too bad there were no cushions on the furniture. What chairs there were there were worn out and the place looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned, not what I expected from a Springhill suites...

“Every employee from the front desk to housekeeping was friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit old but very clean and well-kept. Outside patio was a lovely little area to sit and enjoy the weather. Housekeeping was excellent - never had to ask for a thing, room was always fully stocked with whatever we could need. Breakfast was different each day and very well done. Thank you!”
