“We expected a small room, but it really left a lot to be desired considering it was “recently renovated”. It had a nice paint scheme on the walls, a nice shower head and very warm water. Unfortunately there was a very strong cleaning product smell which lingered for hours, even with the window open. “My first visit to Silverton and I'm so glad I chose to stay at The Avon! Loved the charm of this place, very fitting to the full experience of a mountain town at high elevation. The whole establishment was kept very clean, bathrooms are clean and stuffed with clean towels and toiletries, the kitchen/bar/living room area is very roomy. I stayed at one of the bunk rooms and I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable the bed was, with clean and soft bedding. Great job to Daniel, who runs this...

“Great place to stay, certain rooms have no bathroom and have to share a space down the hall. I was surprised by this but I should have read the description better! It is a beautiful historic property with great beds and lots of peace.”

“The owners were super nice and the building had tons of character. I had to take away stars because the primary reasons I booked at this location was that the property information listed breakfast being included and laundry facilities as a convenience. The owner said they haven't provided breakfast in quite a long time and the laundry facility was a laundromat across the street.”

“Clean and comfortable. It is an older builder so you can hear others in the rooms beside you but the interior has been renovated and it is a good place to stay for a night or two.”

“It is situated in an adorable little town. The room was nice and the bathroom awesome. There was no tv in the room, which was a little different. We could not figure out how to work the thermostat. Two "issues" that we had: 1. The second night the bar was very loud and we were the first room from the bar. There were also doors slamming everywhere. 2. It was advertised as getting a bottle of wine for each night stayed there. This we had to ask for and then they needed to verify.”
