“I did not get to stay at the OVO, I booked the wrong date (my error), but having paid Expedia for insurance that would alow me to make changes to the booking, the venue wanted to charge a handling fee that was 100% of the room cost. seeing that it would have cost me the full room cost on top of whatever the actual day would cost me I decided not to cancel and to book elsewhere.”

The decor in the room was beautiful and it was very clean with plenty of tea making facilities including ‘proper’ mugs and a teapot with tea cosy which was a lovely extra. However the room was very, very small and it did not have any drawers or wardrobe to store clothes (there was a small rail in the corner with four hangers to hang a few items). The en-suite was also very small but it was supplied with lovely White Company...

Corridor areas and the rooms we stayed in, although clean, large and functional seemed a bit tired and in need of a refurb. Powerful shower. Lift doesn't go to all floors. “NO INTERNET, NO WIFI – Otherwise very good all respects. When we arrived at Robin Lodge, we were really impressed. It is lovely. Spacious, clean, well equipped, warm. However, there is no internet nor wifi. In this day and age, to not have wifi is unbelievable and somewhat shortsighted. Whilst the listing makes no reference to wifi, I personally think that it should be explicitly stated that there is no wifi. You just have to look at the reviews to see that others, like us, have been caught...

“Ran by a wonderful couple who are really friendly and accommodating. The lodge is in a beautiful location and the facilities and room are lovely. Breakfast was included and we were asked beforehand what we wanted so it would be ready for the time we requested. And it tasted wonderful. Me and my girlfriend have visited here twice now and I'd greatly recommend a stay here.”
