“This guest house is very well run. The manager is obviously very keen to ensure that his guests have an enjoyable stay. The room we stayed in was large, clean and the beds comfortable. The breakfast was cooked to order, but also cereals and continental breakfast available too. The guesthouse is convenient for Windermere centre, approx 5 minutes walk to the bars and restaurants, but in a quieter back road. ”

“Oakfold house is convenient located in Bowness on Windermere, a mere 2-min walk to bus-stops going towards the pier or to Grasmere. We had also walked 15 mins to the pier and 15 mins to Windermere town centre.Its proprietors, Chris & Robin are attentive and hospitable hosts who ensure we have a pleasant and memorable stay in Windermere, giving us advice to make our way around.
