“Room was fine with what looked like a recently refurbished bathroom. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was beautifully presented and of à high quality. Would definitely stay here again”

“Great location , lovely garden and views but disappointed to find the swimming pool was no longer there .Had visited many years ago and enjoyed the swimming pool .”

“Warm comfortable room in lovely hotel that is walking distance from lake. House was where Beatrix Potter took holidays & she eventually bought it for her mother. Love the whimsical touches such as carpets & wallpaper. Easy private parking included. Stairs to rooms on first & second floors but staff help with luggage if needed. Dinner & breakfast at the hotel restaurant were good.”
