“Rooms are very sparse (one chair only in a double room, no suitcase stand, no drawers) but clean however, the exterior is not maintained and presents a very poor impression with large potholes in the car park, unkemptand overgrown bushes, rotten door frames, excessive weeds where there used to be flower beds and smokers trash at the entrance. Additional £5 per night parking fee! Probably one of the worst appearance Days Inn we have seen worldwide.”

“Upon checking in was greeted by an unfriendly team member who was not welcoming. There is no lift in this hotel so we had to take our luggage down stairs and then upstairs which was horribly inconvenient. The room was ok but with no air conditioning it was much hotter inside than it was outside. There was a fan in the room that could have been turned on for us but wasn’t. There was only one towel in the bathroom, so my husband and I had to share as when we realized it was too late to request...

“This is a wonderful property with lots of historic charm and stunning scenery right on the doorstep! I stayed 4 nights and Karen really looked after me; delicious cooked breakfast each morning and a newly lit fire in the evenings to sit beside. She gave me a tour of her gorgeous garden and introduced me to her feathered friends; the chickens, cockerel and pheasant as well as her lovely dogs. Her knowledge of the house and area is really insightful and Karen was more than happy to advise where...

“Arrived at the hotel only to find a run down building with broken windows and hotel name. Had booked a double room. During check in was able formed my room was “upgraded” to a deluxe complimentary. Room was on the second floor and there was no elevators. Walked up the stairs the dirtiest stairs ever seemed like it never got cleaned, went to the room. The room itself was rather small for a “deluxe” double had no windows only a tiny little window on the top right side but the ceiling of a wall....

“Truly enjoyed my stay. I wanted something with a little character and not a typical hotel. Honestly booked just thinking it was an older Inn and didn't realize until later it was a bed and breakfast. I thought the room was a pretty decent price so was Pleasantly suprised I got a made to order breakfast with my room. The Proprietor is top notch when you need anything and is always happy to help. If you're ok with an older place with some character then I would highly recommend this place.”
