“Booked as we had an early flight from East Midlands airport. Owner met us soon after we arrived. Nice room, great comfy bed, very good shower. Advised there was a good restaurant just down the road (15 min walk) which we visited and had a very tasty meal. Left in the morning too early for breakfast, but not host’s fault. Very good nights sleep. Plenty of parking. Road to airport a bit narrow and windy, but we made it in plenty of time. Would recommend.”

“A modern hotel at the England football training ground. Very nice and spacious lobby and rooms in pleasant grounds. Staff were available and helpful. Everything worked perfectly. We used the swimming pool which was good with excellent facilities. The only thing that made me drop my rating from five to four stars was the restaurant where we had dinner. My local pub has a better menu and our first attempt at ordering failed as several items were off. The food was adequate at best and did not...

“Good check in, good staff, lots of parking. Room was large and very nicely decorated, if a little warm (there was a fan but it was very very dirty and I had to dismantle it and clean it to get it to work properly). Room was let down by the bathroom - there was visibly peeling and missing paint around the top of the shower, and splash marks/spilled...something all up the walls behind the door and by the toilet. The seat on the toilet was also a soft padded one, which was a little odd....
