“The Sloop Inn is in a convenient location to explore the area. The bedroom was small and had too much furniture; the two chairs took up all the space left in the room to move around, open a suitcase. The only power sockets were behind the bed. In order to plug in my phone and other chargers, I had to pull the bed away from the wall about 15cm in a room that was already too small. The bathroom sink light did not work. The staff were great.”

“My overall assessment on the stay would rate it no more than a three star. There are some minor maintenance issues that need to be looked into. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food was very good and the full English was excellent. The idea of filling out what you wanted for breakfast the previous day was not really how I would like it as this might change, I would prefer to decide on the day. “A big shout out to the staff which work here, very often you will stay somewhere and you’ll encounter 1 or 2 excellent staff with the rest just doing their job. This was not our experience at the Priory, every single member of staff acknowledged us with a friendly smile and an attentive attitude. We were a group of 4 and we all remarked how refreshing it was that we were welcomed and made to feel at home at the Priory. Keep up the good work and thank you.”

"De Vere Tortworth Court is a beautiful and unique mansion, completely surrounded by nature, built over 170 years ago. We came to visit the Cotswolds, and this accommodation worked out quite well (it is a 40 mins-1h drive from the main villages). Things I loved: All the shared areas are well kept and organized, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good as well as the bistro and the cocktail bar in the library room. Penhalingon's products in the bathrooms Plenty of free parking space Things that need improvement: We stayed for 3 nights in a standard room, and it was okay. The room is quite comfortable and of a decent size, even though it’s quite old – I would suggest upgrading to a more premium room. The bathroom needs maintenance… the sink was extremely impractical to use, as it had two separate faucets: one for cold water and the other for hot water. As it is a very old mansion, the rooms are not soundproof, and we could hear every step and conversation from other guests. There was no fridge in the room and no bathrobes or slippers provided for the spa. The spa was disappointing. The main pool was cold, and the only available jacuzzi was too small and always crowded. Overall I am happy about my experience and I would come back as it is such a unique and beautiful location!"
