The Riu Santa Fe offers beautiful views and a lively atmosphere, making it a great choice if you’re looking for fun and energy. The environment is upbeat, but if you’re hoping for peace and quiet, avoid staying in Villa 8—it’s right next to the club, and the music is extremely loud late into the night.
The rooms are comfortable but could use some TLC. I noticed the walls had visible sunblock stains, which made them feel less fresh. Around the pool area, the staff took a while to pick up, so there were quite a few empty drink cups scattered around.
Food overall was good, with the Mexican restaurant being my favorite. However, it’s important to note that they don’t serve full meals all day—outside of regular meal times, only snacks like fries and nachos are available.
Be prepared for mosquitoes, as they were definitely an issue during my stay. Also, while the beach right outside is beautiful, the waves are rough and not ideal for swimming.
If you’re looking for a lively, social vacation spot with great views and solid dining during meal hours, the Riu Santa Fe could be a good fit—just come prepared for noise, mosquitoes, and a few maintenance quirks.
