“I think it was circumstantial, but there was a group in the hotel that made my stay very unpleasant. Shared spaces were dominated by this group and they were generally rude. I was enroute to another city and have always enjoyed stopping in Charleston and staying at this hotel. However, this time was simply awful. I wasn't able to take advantage of the amenities, especially breakfast, so I just left as soon as I got up the next morning. Room was fine, clean, but my experience other than that...

“This location was horrible for a Marriott. The staff was not helpful, I believe at least one of them was on drugs. They charge $15 for parking even if you don't use it, in the same garage that everyone else uses for free. The elevator is super slow, there is no free Wi-Fi, and charge $17 for a breakfast that should be included. They nickle and dime you for everything. They have the balcony padlocked closed in the room, making it useless. The restaurant has rude staff and keeps most of it...
