“I was headed to Grand Isle for a birding trip and stayed overnight in Golden Meadow as the hotels on the Island were expensive and most wouldn't book a one night stay. Southern Breeze Lodge was perfect in every way, from the friendly ladies in the office to the clean room, comfortable beds, and convenience of having a gas station, GoBears Grocery and Noble Roman's Pizza all within walking distance of the lodge! I recommended it to all my fellow birders and will definitely stay there again.”

“We stayed 2 separate nights, a Sunday and a Wednesday. On Sunday, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Checking out on Monday morning was different. I asked to speak to a manager and was told no one was available. On Sunday, 1 restaurant was closed. On Wednesday, 3 restaurants were "temporarily" closed and 1 was closed for a special event. “It was nice! Small but nice and 30 minutes to town”

“The hotel is very clean with comfortable beds. The food is great. The staff were very friendly. With me being a travel agent I would have given this hotel 10 out of10 but the walls are very thin that you can hear the people talking in the other room. I didn’t get a good night sleep because I heard the traffic all night on the highway. The hotel is right off the highway. The traffic is very heavy and noisy in the mornings. If you are a light sleeper this hotel is not for you. ”

“Decidedly average hotel booked by my Wife and I for the Lafayette Festival Louisianne. The best thing about the room was the shower due to its amazing water pressure. Otherwise, a few negatives to point out were: the fact that when the air conditioner kicked on it was very noisy, the fact that we could hear the flushing of toilets emanating from other rooms in the hotel, and the fact that our room situated on the 2nd floor facing the front of the hotel was not as sound proof as we would have...
