“When we arrived at Blue Lake Lodge no one was there and the place was all locked up. Tried to phone the lodge but rang out to a full answering machine. So clearly something wrong with their booking system. ”

“The Pumphouse is in the middle of no-where. There is a lot of excellant hiking and some boating around. The hotel is designed to support this. It is less well designed to suit the long term traveler because of lack of space for suitcases or hanging cloths. That said the staff was extremely helpful. The food very good, and ambiance superb!”

“I thought the motel was way out of town but it was two minutes away. The room was quite large with an excellent bathroom. The shower was a little touchy between hot and cold and needs to be looked at. The restaurant provides tasty meals at reasonable prices also.”

“We were married here in 2015 and return regularly. It is a truely unique place, away from it all out in the beautiful Tasmanian rainforest. A place to relax, get in touch with nature, escape the hustle and bustle and recharge. The accommodation is clean and comfortable, if a little outdated. The king beds could use an upgrade ie. make them a king, not two singles joined in the middle. But the cabins are warm, light filled and surrounded by the rainforest. We stayed as a family, 2 kids under 5,...

“The food in restaurant was alittle pricey but I thought worth it. The veggies were crisp and not being a big bread eater, the entree bread was crisp and light, as was the toast in the morning. All food is organic and it absolutely made a taste difference for me. ”
