“The staff were very helpful and the room was spotless. The complimentary biscuits, kitkats and wine was an extra special touch and the guest laundry was close by and free to use. The lodge is very picturesque with beautiful walks right at the front of reception.”

“Everything was fantastic, 10 out of 10. The Shalet was spotless, it had a lovely wood fire and an electric heater. The rooms were all done in wood panelling, there was kitchen and laundry facilities and the spa bath was a lovely extra touch. Despite the rainy weather, we were very cosy and warm.”

“Basic things that were neglected or done poorly 1) no pre check in email was received resulting in us being stuck outside the property as we were not informed of the access code to gain entry into the property. Imagine being caught in a situation when you had 4 cars backed up behind you and you couldn’t get in - enough said 2) no air conditioning in the rooms and the windows can’t be open. Rooms are hot, stuffy and poorly ventilated- would have been helpful to have that piece on information on...
