“Host double booked on VRBO and other major house sharing platform. I had booked 2 months in advance (and paid) but got notice 3 hours before checking in ( was in a plane heading there) that “sorry” but could not take me that they would honor a cancellation like they were doing me a favor. They basically told me I could not stay and it was their fault it was double booked. I had to rebook at a hotel at double price because it was a busy weekend. VRBO sucked in helping. Beware. “1. Trouble accessing lockbox. Owner was available to talk me thru it. More instructions needed, as not all lockboxes work the same way 2. No heat! With 40’s temp, I was very cold and the heater did not work. After another phone call to the owner, discovered fuse for unit had been turned off. 3. Coffee makers but no coffee!”

“Property was undergoing some construction upon arrival immedietely next to our shared wall of the unit making the first two hours rather unpleasant with loud cutting and banging. Wish the property owner had simply disclosed this as it was an unwelcomed surprise after a long day of travel. Otherwise our stay was fine. Unit has everything you need but the shower is too small and cracked in a few places and the shower head needs to be replaced”
