“Nicole was great greeting me and providing information. The breakfast was excellent. I rated good on the room due to there being a slight odor. Not sure if from smoking. The beds, however, were as comfortable as a much more expensive hotel. I had a great night sleep and that was most important.”

“There is no Quality in this Quality Inn. The pool has been "temporarily" closed since Sept. of 2025. Rug was very dirty. Breakfast was better at other places. Parking was nice it was right at the door. Too much late night traffic. Ice machine was broken had to walk to the next building to get ice Peeling paint in the bathroom. NO handicapped rooms available. Bedroom wall was scratched up, looks as if a dog did it.”

“This is an awesome place to stay! We especially liked the automatic lights on the front porch, it's nice if you arrive after dark. The hosts were wonderful and got back to us quickly when we reached out. ”

“Super nice staff. The hotel is old and in need of renovation to keep up with what you’d expect from a Holiday Inn Express (or their competition.) But that’s ok for a night or two. Really no complaints. It gets the job done and doesn’t smell bad. The rooms are just beat up, it’s old and dark as compared to other $150/night places.”

“Three Trails is ideally located in downtown Elkin. It, however, is located next to an active railroad line and trains do sound their horns early in the mornings and sometimes at night. Three Trails is also on the corner of the main street junction of the city. Therefore, there is street noise. Three Trails would be much improved, and more comfortable for guests, if sound proofing glass is installed in the windows. Also, allthough Three Trails does notify guests that no elevators are on the...

“The only issue I had was a loud group of people outside, but that was our of the hotels control. A nice stay.”
