“The hotel itself is looking a bit tired but our room was spotless and clean. The staff were so lovely and helpful. The buffet breakfast was hot and tasty. The location is amazing. Fantastic place to stay if u don't want to spend loads of time in the hotel.”

“What a lovely stay run by a lovely couple. A quirky friendly B&B within easy walking distance of town ( a little up hill on the way back) Beautiful garden full of interest. A perfectly cooked breakfast in the morning made using good quality produce. Along with cereals, yogurts and juice. Homely and clean. You really felt like a guest rather than just another number moving through. They have two small friendly dogs but kept them out of the way for a guest who felt nervous around dogs....

“The property is very nice. Looked very new inside and very clean. There were a few hiccups. The shower cut off for about 30 minutes in the middle of a shower. There were no linens for the sofa bed. The bar and restaurant are closed on Monday and Tuesday and I wasn't advised of this until I had already arrived in the UK. If it were not for those things, I would have given 5 stars.”

“Based on others' reviews, we had high expectations for the Albion Hotel, but these were comfortably exceeded. Rooms are modern and well-equipped ... we especially liked the his 'n hers showers ... and ours had a large (shared) terrace overlooking delightful sea views. The quality of food and choice of wine at dinner were both outstanding, followed by an excellent breakfast. Without exception, the staff were all extremely welcoming, helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.”

Unfortunately, the accommodation itself fell well below our expectations. “The bedding and towels were lovely and clean, couldn't fault. The shower tray left a lot to be desired, along with the shower mat and windowsill. There was no way of opening/closing the windows as they were too high. The same with the curtains. A long bamboo rod attached to the top could help with opening/closing? Staff? Hardley saw a soul in the 4 days I was there. The breakfast was sufficient for what I needed.”
