“Hot springs areas were great! Hotel room was pretty basic. Way too many lights around the area made it hard to sleep at night. Beds were ok but not recommended for multiple nights. Couch was not comfortable to sit on, the cushions kept falling off while you were sitting on it.”

“Great stay! Didn’t use the amenities (hot tub/breakfast/patio) but everything else was super nice and comfortable. Just be aware the walls are very thin and if you have a family with children or loud neighbors, you will wake up at night or early in the morning. But we enjoyed the room itself.”

“Clean and tidy. Cute little room. The only suggestions I have for improve is to add nightstands. I've neve stayed in a place that didn't have at least one. Very awkward not having a place besides the floor to sit things like phone, glasses, tv remote etc.”

“The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking, and the air conditioning kept the tiny home cool all day long. The shower provided perfect control over water temperature, while the large windows offered stunning mountain views and filled the space with natural light. It was a truly peaceful stay.”

“Cute retro vibe, our room had loud ac/ furnace . They did try and provide ‘sound machine ‘. I’m a light sleeper. Otherwise nice staff , have bicycle loaners for riding around town.”

“Bed was clean, AC was comfortable, room was large. Floors and shower were not the cleanest. The workout room was lacking (one elliptical, one bike, weight machine). Indoor pool and hot tub. Breakfast was basic (yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, toast, waffles, fake scrambled eggs). Good pick for the area at this rate if you just need a place to crash.”

“We stayed at Monarch Mountain Lodge sWednesday, July 1st - July 5th. We did not have running water for most of our stay, and obviously we were very frustrated. When the water finally came through in the shower, it was full of sand and mud. There was no restaurant staff, no gift shop staff, and no property manager on site for the whole time we stayed there. We tried to contact the property manager, by phone & email but no response. Zoe (front desk) & maintenance were helpful with our frig not...

“What a great location for exploring Salida, right on the river, just off F street. An unusual location on the second story of an historic building (only for those able and willing to climb the stairs to the units.) The rooms are nicely decorated, the beds are comfortable, the balcony looking over the river is a great place to enjoy the views. Good AC, and quiet. We feel so lucky we found this mini hotel which is run like an Airbnb. Easy to contact the manager who is very helpful.”
