Cottage a Newcastle upon Tyne

“Had a lovely time staying here for a few days. We had a couple of places we had on our bucket list and this was a good base. Didn’t get a chance to see the arch near by by as it was raining. Only advise would be to have a sign where the holiday homes are as we used the postcode and nav took us to road down the road. Thank you for loaning us your pass for the Beamish Living Museum, had a lovely day even though we got a little wet. ”

“Quiet location . Perfect for people wanting peace and quiet and beautiful scenery . A little remote for everyday essentials like shopping , fuel , takeaway etc but pub within 1 mile which does takeaway and delivery . Roads a little rough and up and down. Around 40 miles to most main attractions such as Bamburgh castle ( recommended ) , and Around 20 miles from Keilder , well worth a visit .”

“We enjoyed a fantastic short break in this beautiful cottage. A great setting and comfortable, warm place to have as our temporary home. Couldn't ask for more. We loved the acres of woodland for a back garden and our dogs, similarly enjoyed their stay with lots of good exploring on your doorstep. The cottage was warm, cosy and well set up with the right amount of amenities for our needs.”

“For those - like us - who like quiet self-catering cottages in beautiful scenery, this was perfect. The cottage was comfortable for our 2+1 set-up. The downstairs bathroom might not be suitable for everyone. Day trips to Morpeth, Alnwick, Cragside, Hadrian’s Wall, and the coast are feasible. Shopping needs planning, though there is a village shop in Otterburn (albeit its hours were not totally reliable). Make sure you support the pub - literally next door!”
