“The property really needs some maintenance to it. Very dated all round. Champneys used to hold a high standard name as a spa hotel but over the years it’s really lost its touch. Was disappointed with the cleanliness of the spa facilities. Was in the spa for 2ish hours and not a single member of staff cleaning anything. Mainly the floors which were full of grit/hair/dirt. Edging of pool areas have algae. Really just needs a deep clean. We didn’t stay for dinner however we had breakfast...

It is in a strategic position, the room and bathroom appeared to be clean; the breakfast was nice to have (both for the variety and the space). BUT the condition of the bed sheets and towels was so disappointing! The bed sheets had stains everywhere, and there was long hair in three of the four towels.
