“I saw lots of negative reviews for this hotel so was very nervous about booking but we’d been let down at the last minute with the accommodation we’d booked for our weekend away so booked the Ocean hotel and hoped for the best!
I have to say I was so pleasantly surprised, yes the outside is a bit tired but the reception and bar area are lovely, the staff are friendly and helpful and the room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, it had everything we needed, even a fan and heater in the wardrobe...
“Fantastic hotel, staff were so friendly and helpful. All the communal areas (bar/restaurant/reception/gardens) were very high standard. Rooms (we had small double) were exactly that, well appointed and small. The goose down pillows were extremely comfortable as was the bed.
4 x 22kwh electric chargers in the car park at a reasonable 59p/Kw
Short walk to the town centre and the beach.”

“First time at this hotel & it was lovely and clean.staff are friendly. 5 min walk to the lovely beach.
Loved all the memorabilia in the hotel.
Good value for money too. ”
“Great hotel between Bournemouth city center and the beach, with friendly and service minded staff. The food in the restaurant is brilliant and the chef goes out of his way to make great food for his guests, provided he has the ingredients. Note that some rooms had defunct AC at the time of our visit. And if the hotel is the venue for a wedding party on a Saturday, the kitchen and bar is overly busy and there will be some noise in the rooms upstairs.”
