“The room was clean, and well maintained. The river outside my room was a great touch, and I was so glad they could book me into a room so close to it. Though the surroundings were nice, and the rooms and breakfast were good, the staff is the real star here. From the front desk attendant when I arrived late at night, to the gentleman taking breakfast orders, even to the maintenance staff, I haven't found a hotel yet that had more friendly, professional, attentive people working there. “We had a pleasant stay at Talta lodge for two nights. We loved the location and the outdoors of this place, especially the fire pits and the the various places to lounge around the building. Also loved that there was complementary coffee/ tea. Now the things that would probably discourage me from returning are that there is this unpleasant moldy smell in the rooms that does not go away even after airing out the room but you get used to it once you are inside for a while. “Everything good. They leave you chocolate chip cookies for when you come in your room. Also a bottle of their spring water. The cookies are free,but don't touch the spring water. It comes with a 25 dollar charge..f.or a 16 ounce bottle of spring water. Ouch. Apart from that, it was a good place and they are trying hard. I would return, but with our own spring water.”
