“Check-in was excellent; rooms were quirky but clean; continental breakfast was just fine; and the attached dining room was great for our party of 12, with a private room for us. There was also a busy outdoor patio with a lovely view. Parking was easy. Note that there are no elevators, so some might find the stairs difficult. “Very occasionally you come across a special place that will stay with you forever. Saucy Willow is that. Beautiful setting and gardens, house that is tastefully and lovingly renovated. The rooms are great, super comfy beds, powerful shower, fridge. Breakfast was plentiful and filled us up (thanks Dave for packaging scones for us to take away). “The breakfast was good, service was quick. The only complaint was that when we asked if we needed reservations for supper they said no but did not mention the restaurant closed at 6. We went over at 7:30 pm then noticed the sign, there was nothing else open in the town unfortunately ”
