“It was nice that they had a restraunt on the property with a nice patio overlooking the harbour”

“Stayed in Room 9, clean and comfortable. Full size fridge- which was quiet & air con. Coffee shop, pub, liquor store all attached to hotel. Also private dock for guests to use down on the river.”

“We stayed at Lakeside as we were attending a beautiful wedding this past wknd. This was the most incredible experience in terms of covering every touch point from check-in to checkout!! Personal check-in to your room, incredible property with so much thought put into every aspect. The views, the food, the professionally trained staff and service, 5 star plus plus!! “We truly enjoyed our stay at this inn mostly due to the attention and kindness of the owner and her family. The breakfast was very varied with local, fresh products. The room was intimate but then that is part of the charm of a country inn. Highly recommend it.”

“Perfect location for downtown activities. Cool to be in 100-y-o building just around the corner from where my Dad worked in early 1950s. Price a bit steep for one room but we stayed just one night. The advantage of a small room is that A/C works fast and well :) Very clean premises, with a lovely big bathtub. Super comfortable bed. An unexpected bonus which didn’t seem advertised was the fridge and freezer in the room - weld bought a cooler thinking there wasn’t one. Thanks again”

“Impossible to justify this flop house as a motel!!! Staff need hotelier training. The owner is turning rooms into monthly cheap rents for "locals". There is no breakfast provided which is strange considering there is a dining room - and the "owners" run a fish and chip restaurant at this location. It was a lovely old quaint hotel close to a beach. At least it used to be clean. Bedding was well used and not spotless - no mattress cover in one case. It's finished as a motel.”
