“We checked in easily and when we opened the door to our room there was a very strong musty odour. The room wasn’t dirty but because of the smell it felt old tired and dirty. We did notice at first that there was a huge wet spot in the corner of the room but they had just experienced a massive storm so we thought perhaps that was the cause. In hindsight we should have asked for a new room because the spot grew to soak the rug and almost the entire one side of the bed. You had to climb in from...

“The staff are more concerned about spending time outside on the sidewalk smoking than helping quests. My room didn’t have towels and I had to request them several times. In fact , I didn’t get them until the next morning. Also the shower stall had a hair ball floating around in it. A single hair I could handle but not a hair ball. The shower was definitely not cleaned in awhile.”

“This property is located right in the center of St. John's city thus is very convenient for dining and shopping. The check-in process is easy and smooth. The room we stayed needs better maintenance though. The ceiling has peeling patches. Some other furniture is old. The TV is tiny. The room is also bit noisy from the central air units in the back. Otherwise, it is a good place to stay.”

“The hotel room was cozy, the bed super comfy, the outdoor balcony that runs the full length of the building a delightful spot to sit and read. The free parking is at the rear of the building. A huge thanks to Andrea at Reception who is very welcoming and happy to suggest places to eat and to visit.”
