“On the plus side, the hotel was clean, conveniently located and inexpensive. The staff were pleasant. On the minus side: (1) the hotel: Although the sign in front says Duckworth B&B, it is not. It is simply provision of a room to sleep in, The hotel is 100 years old with narrow hallways, tiny rooms and no elevator. This was not a problem for us, but it could be a problem if one were not expecting it and had mobility issues. There is no front desk as such; you have to contact hotel...

“Extremely large unit on the top floor, excellent waterfront view. Staff were extremely accommodating and went above and beyond to be helpful. Only drawback is that they do not have free parking. Meters require payment from 10am to 5pm $14.00 a day. There is some free parking but you need to drive around for a spot up the hill and next greet over.”

“Brian on the desk made us feel very welcome and gave us a great introduction to the hotel. This boutique hotel had so many pleasing extras that i havn't seen before in any hotel in my extensive travels.... Doubt whether i will be back in Vancouver Island but if i was then Sidney and the Beacon Inn would be my first choice and i would strongly recommend. Beacon Brewing down the street was an added bonus........”

“Foster's will definitely be our go-to every time we return to Stratford. Very clean and the 1pm check-in makes it easy to see a 2pm show at the theatre. The room we stayed in also had such a beautiful design with high ceilings and a rainfall shower with moonlight lighting windows. Tasty food too! “Hotel was old house that had been converted to an Inn. Amenities only included two bath towels and one hand towel. No extra toilet paper. No wash clothes. Rooms had not been updated/painted in maybe 30-35 years. Steps were very steep and shallow. The only thing that kept the rating from being lower was the staff. They were pleasant when asked for something.”
