“Such a cool place. We stayed most of a week, and since there are limited number of rooms, there aren’t many other guests, so it felt like our own little private resort. Our room opened right out to the pool and restaurant. Iguanas were hanging out, a toucan visited us on a tree near the restaurant. We really found a hidden gem. ”

“We paid months ahead as with many other accommodations, which we've never had any issues with. This place was hard to find so we called to clarify directions, and we were told if we didn't have a 4x4 that it wasn't possible to get to (which was NOT mentioned on the booking site on Expedia) We were left to scramble and find a place to stay last minute which was inconvenient and cost a lot more. We were also informed we would be given the money back but months later we still haven't seen it. ”

“Check-in it’s way too late, and check-out way too early how can a check-in at 4pm and a check-out at 10am be normal or even welcoming to guests? They crossed the line with those times, it didn’t make me feel welcome or respected and as if my money isn’t worth it, feels like they want you there the least amount of time possible. “We had an amazing stay at Akua Ocean View Suites. The location with a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean is absolutely breathtaking. The scenery from the terrace is simply stunning. The suite itself is cozy, modern, very clean, and surprisingly spacious. Everything felt comfortable and thoughtfully designed. “When we arrived, it was all locked up and dark on a sketchy back alley. A man came to the gate but would not open it or turn any lights on. He called someone and they said my reservation was for the next day. They blamed Expedia for the error. We left and found another hotel. Very unpleasant experience.”

“The pool was deeper than most pools in the area instead of 3 foot it was between 4 and 5 foot. The rooms were excellent. Called late for gate trouble, I recommend arriving first time in daylight to see how gates open for parking. But they answered right away and assisted us! They were so nice, got an extra blanket delivered the same night as well and they were so nice. There is zero view of the beach but the beach is only 5 minutes walking to be on jaco beach itself. “The hotel is on last end of jaco beach, far from confusion. I stayed here just one night and had an economy room, which are on the main building, close to the Costanera Sur road, and then quite noisy. My room was spacious but a bit old. From what i could see, the condos on the beach are nicer, and are more quiet for sure. Nice beach and kind staff. Restaurant average but expensive. Included continental breakfast was quite poor.”
