“All was great...the only weak point was the wi-fi and the mobile connection...since i stayed for a business trip...it was really needed...”

“Location is great. Hote Is basic as reflected in price as well as reviews. Restaurant at hotel was terribly understaffed - only one chef. Took an hour and 20 mins for food to arrive. Secondly, there was no daily cleaning or towel change and was not mentioned clearly.”

“The property was pet friendly and my dog was made welcome. Lovely beer garden at rear which we were able to take advantage of due to the warm and sunny weather during our stay. Only a short walk (about 15 minutes) from the train station and and a lovely big park across the road from the hotel. Not much in Chirk though, with little more than cafes and bistros and bus service looks poor (up to 3hours apart judging by the timetables where provided) compared with other parts of Wales we’ve visited”

“It's situated in a great spot in a really vibrant friendly village The rooms on the 4th floor are very hot and they had no a/c of a fan available. The very small window only partially opened, enough for flies to come in but little breeze I recommended that the hotel provide the upper floors with fans always Had a good snack at the hotel Lots of places to go for dinner and drinks nearby”

“Very nice building, in a central position. You can easily walk to all the destinations in Wrexham and/or easily get to the train station and bus station. The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, perfectly cooked and served. The staff are kind, friendly and helpful. Hugely recommended if you’re planning to visit Wrexham.”

“Perfect location to explore the area. We were there for the Llangollen Round - a 35 mile event - and it was the perfect place to begin. We had an amazing outdoor space which we used all the time as the weather was kind to us. We ate outside too as there wasn't a table for 4 accessible without having to move furniture about in the lounge. The TV we gave up with as too small to see and we were just enjoying having a chat anyway. The kitchen appliances were fantastic but could have done with a...

“Perfect for the mere, and walks. Very central with loads of food and drink options. Accommodation was perfect, clean with plenty of space nothing had been missed by the perfect host. We will book again 👍”

“The room we had was fairly run down. In particular it had a strong and unpleasant odour. At first we thought having the windows open would help. But part way through the night the smell was so terrible we were awake. In the morning we realised it must have been mildew and mold. Some of the glass window pains had black mould, not only around the edges but in the middle of the glass. We left pretty early because we couldn't be in the room anymore. “The room was big and very clean, with a big bathroom, I really appreciated the room! We had dinner in the pub and it was one of the best of our holiday! Also the breakfast was very good and big. I really recommend this place. ”
