Hotel vicino a Praia do Norte - Tybee

“The property itself needs a little work. There were stains on the ceiling and it could have been a little bit cleaner (there were pee pee drops on the front of the toilet and the floor needed a good vacuuming). We had to check into the B&B from the next door hotel which seemed a little shady inside. The B&B write up claimed the it was located on the beach. It is not. You have to either walk thru an alley way or cut through the neighboring property to access the beach. The reason I rated the B&B...

“The room was clean and conveniently close to the beach. The pool was a nice activity to do before bed. The staff were quick and nice while delivering services. Would recommend and revisit!”

“I am rating this a 3 because when I checked out, the hotel gave me a receipt that showed Expedia got the room at a discount and I was charged $300 more than what was on the receipt. Please contact the hotel to see if the prices are similar before you book with Expedia. Also, if you want a true ocean view, ask for a room on the 4th floor.”

“It was pretty quiet for the most part. Elevator stinks and it’s humid, Mildew was also in the beds in our room and all the lady said was “Okay thank you” whenever we complained. It’s a convenient place to stay for 1-2 nights just to be close to the beach but not long term.”

“The owners seem like very kind people and initially when I walked into the room it looked renovated and very cute! However, this place has SERIOUS mold issue. In the air vent, the ceiling light, and especially underneath the sink. It looks like the issue has not been addressed in the slightest. Like they just painted over the issues with cute decor. You can tell by how the place smells that there is a mold issue. When I saw underneath the sink I got so worried I slept with a mask on all night...

“I made the mistake of booking a room thinking that all the rooms had balconies overlooking the beach, like the main pictures. It turned out that the Double bed room we'd booked was just a small, motel-like room with two beds and one chair and the only window was to the walkway by the door. It was our own fault, and I knew it was non-refundable when I booked it. And neither we nor Expedia could get them to budge with even a partial refund when we left early. “A very short walk to the beach, fun area with plenty of restaurants and shops near by. It did feel like they were slightly understaffed, but all in all it was a fun stay and we would likely go again. 4/5.”

“Palmera inn is one of the best values on Hilton head for what you get. The king balcony room was huge with two full bathrooms, living area, balcony, and kitchenette. Their location is just minutes to everything and they even allowed us to check ins couple hours early which was nice! We don’t even get to use all the amenities this place had as we only stayed one night. They also provide a breakfast in the morning which does get quite busy but there is enough space to make it doable. I would...

“We have stayed at the Holiday Inn several times. The hotel is across the main road from the beach, but there is a free trolly to the beach that is available. There is also a public playground for the kids next to the hotel. The breakfast is good. The pool is clean. The staff is nice. Overall it is a good hotel for a beach vacation in Hilton Head.”
