Hotel vicino a Rail to River Walk Trailhead - Sydney

“Unable to drive to the entrance to check in, had to navigate car parking area whose entrance was difficult to find & then take the lift to reception. Daughter found that appliances & kitchenware in cupboards were dirty. Iron hotplate had something burnt & stuck to it so was unusable. No water in fridge, one small carton of milk, three teabags. There was a couple of small areas of rust in bathroom. Looked like someone had banged maybe a suitcase into the wall & taken a chunk of plaster...

“Breakfast was excellent, parking was ample. The room while been as described, clean and had all amenities, it was showing it’s age and there was no way to figure out what tv channels showed what. ”

“Staff were excellent, couldn't do enough for you. Parking was right at the front door, outside. Butter chicken and pizza from the restaurant were top shelf. Our room was on the top floor facing the road with great views of the city high-rise's. The only negative was the road noise, all through the night. Double glazed windows needed. The local cockatoo's were very friendly too.”

“The description and reviews were misleading. Going by the pictures I assumed the river was closer to the park . Not mentioned that you have to drive to get there . How anyone can say it's peaceful when it is in the direct flight path of planes going over constantly . I was very underwhelmed .”

The unit also comes with kitchen, a built-in washing machine and dryer making laundry very convenient. “Stayed here before. As my family live across the road. Chose different room this time. Booked 3 nights across Anzac, zero housekeeping the whole time . So price felt unfair. “We really appreciated the restoration work here - they’ve kept the heritage feel of the hotel intact without making it feel dated. Despite being above a pub and right on a main road, the rooms were surprisingly quiet. Great location for exploring North Sydney. The common room and kitchen was a lovely surprise. The complimentary breakfast was a nice bonus that made mornings easy.”
