Excellent location!

The location was good for the sights we wanted to see in the area. The house itself was not the best. The couch in the living room looked like it came out of a college dorm years ago. It did not hold its shape, and you kept sliding off of it. Very uncomfortable. The windows overlooking the patio were so dirty that I ended up cleaning them just to see out. The cleaning fee was high for all the cleaning we had to do before we left. The stairs were so steep going up to the 2nd two bedrooms that we only went up at night and down in the morning and hoped we did not need to use the restroom in the middle of the night.

Not the cleanest

I was looking forward to Vrbo. My family spends a lot of time in South Dakota for small vacations. We’ve always stayed in hotels. My family owns businesses. 2 motels and a body shop. So cleanliness matters. Under the bed downstairs was trash. The pictures on Vrbo look great. However the house is a bit dated. We only used 1 bedroom and the living room as my kid didn’t want to be on a floor alone. No issues. The pull out couch had trash in it including socks that didn’t belong to us. The bed was lumpy and seemed broke. The spa had dirt in the bottom. I had 2 doodles I checked in. They left a tree saw laying in the yard. Big problem if someone stepped on it. Old dog poop right by the garage entrance. The paint peeling from the spa deck. Kitchen sink has been updated since they posted pictures on Vrbo so that was nice. The bathroom was clean. Upstairs just looking around a drawer was broke on the kids dresser. They had the side of the house not posted in the pictures dug up. So it was just dirt with hoses out it looks like for sprinklers. So it’s not a closed in back yard. Easy to get muddy just walking to the front door. Everything was functional so I didn’t want to complain. As we planned to spend more time doing activities then at the property. Overall I was disappointed for my dogs and kid. Plenty of parking but we couldn’t get the car in the garage. To much “stuff” in it. Easy check in and check out. When we messaged we checked out they seemed friendly.

Disappointing stay

We were excited for our stay, but unfortunately, it did not meet expectations. Upon arrival, we immediately noticed that the house wasn’t as clean as it should have been. Dust was visible on the floorboards and decor, and the entire place had a dusty smell. The sheets didn’t feel fresh, which made us question the cleanliness of the entire property.Additionally, there weren’t enough towels for both the hot tub and showers, which was inconvenient. Speaking of the hot tub, it wasn’t warm when we arrived, and while it eventually warmed up, it wasn’t quite as relaxing as we’d hoped.The backyard in the listing photos looked inviting, but in reality, it didn’t match what we saw in person. The house itself also felt smaller than it appeared in the pictures, and the upstairs steps were concerning—they felt soft and unstable, almost as if they were rotating underfoot.Overall, while the house had potential, the lack of cleanliness, misleading photos, and maintenance issues made our stay less enjoyable than we had hoped.

There was no response from the contact person. I called and texted the number provided. Still nobody has returned calls or responded to messages. The snow was a factor and nobody came to shovel nor was there a shovel there. Disappointed as I paid a service fee but they wanted us to clean up. All in all we will not recommend it.

Short stay but very pleasant

A nice stay short term. Bathroom on main floor seems far away late at night but it's an older building! Dogs in backyard a bit annoying along fence line. A busy street. Cozy in backyard. Great hot tub! Thank you

The house was old but quaint. For our purposes it worked. The house did need a deep cleaning, white cabinets and refrigerator were very dirty. The one bathroom had sink problems and from what we could tell had the problem for a while. Like I said it met our needs.

Great Stay

This house was perfect for our honeymoon getaway! It is close to all the things we wanted to do and super easy to get to. We had a trailer with a UTV and the driveway is perfectly spacious for turning around and navigating with a trailer. The only change I would recommend are some guidelines for the hot tub. We don't usually operate one and had some troubles with the jets. Overall, this was a great stay!!

Great Spot

Loved the property and location Was great for Sturgis Rally. Garage great for the. Bikes and the hot tub for after Gravel in drive is loose so care is needed Only real problem is very loose railing on steep stairs going up

I’ve stayed in worse places but wasn’t happy

First night it rained and water came gushing in the front windows. AC would barely cool, the air filter was plugged. Only one couch to sit on, so if there are more than 2 people it would be uncomfortable. If you’re a simple person, you’ll be fine. On a positive note, the hot tub was great and the property is dog friendly. That’s the only nice thing o can say about the property.

I've seen frat houses in better conditions

This house has clearly been neglected for years! It was so bad we stayed one night and had to find new accomodations. The amount of built up dirt in every corner, fridge from the 80's, broken light fixtures, ripped couch, and backed up tub drain. We will be attempting to get our money back!

Dirty and poorly maintained

Months of dust on window sills, hair swept into corners, a stained blankets, and dirty dishes in the dishwasher was all immediate proof that this property is not checked between tenants. The attendant responded after half a day offering to come and fix the specific issues, but was unapologetic about allowing the property to become disgusting. I assume the previous tenants were also charged the “professional cleaning fee” which I feel is not being used for cleaning services.

Cute place

We stayed in the house for the week of the demo derby event and was sweet people nice neighborhood but the house overall needs a good deep cleaning it was not swept or clean i dont think before we got there the baseboards and floors were dirty and no dusting and cobwebs everywhere i texted the host when we got there to help with internet they were very helpful and right there but definitely need to bring attention to the clwaning as i left and texted the cleaners we were leaving and we started the bedding for them but it needed deep cleaned i would visit again after the clean:)

Not what we expected

We were traveling with our dogs. Thought the yard was fenced in and did not realize the house was off a busy 4 lane road. We ended up not staying because we were worried if something happened that our dogs got out.

The house was wonderful. It was conveniently located near all the major attractions that brought our family to South Dakota. Also the house was so well stocked with everyday household items. It really made our experience so great!

Weekend vacation

My friend and I had an amazing time visiting the area. The property was a n s great location for attractions but Uber and delivery drivers had a bit of trouble finding it. Not a huge deal. Over all it was a great experience and would definitely stay there again.
