“The cottage was clean, cozy and absolutely perfect. I stayed in 11A and it was awesome. It had a cabin feel, and a great view of the trees and river. Loved the loft too! I'd stay here again. It was close to town but felt like it was far away in the woods. I loved the fireplace but if I could change one thing, I'd put a hot tub on the deck. A great getaway overall! ”

“It's one of the "all the above" places. Great and courteous staff, proud chef, clean room, locals hangout. Maticulous assistants (one was double checking the cleaning crew). Had the fish and chips. Never had chips like that before. They were awesome. Fish rivalled the restaurants here in Monterey.”

“Check in was the hardest part of the stay. The computer system was down so we went to grab and food and crossed our fingers that we could come back to check in. Luckily it worked out for us. The room, the pool, hot tub and koi pond were a big hit with my family. We would stay there again.”

“I’ve stayed at Ocean Gate Inn several times when visiting my son at UCSC, and the staff has always been kind and professional. One thing I really appreciate is how they go above and beyond — I’ve arrived as late as 1 a.m., and they’ve called to make sure I was still coming, which shows great customer service. Sometimes I show up with two cars (mine and my son’s), and the man at the front desk always says it’s fine and never makes a big deal about it. The rooms are clean, it’s in a safe area,...

“The room was clean and a good size. It didn’t feel small. The gym was modest but functional. The downside was the restaurant was closed during the holidays so we had to eat at Parkside instead. That was a very pleasant dining experience so we weren’t disappointed. The proximity of the hotel to downtown Los Gatos was ideal. We walked everywhere and thoroughly enjoyed it. All in all a fantastic stay and we look forward to returning, especially when the restaurant is open. ”

“Great location, amazing staff, clean facilities and overall great experience. Has our small dog with us and Ashley at the desk walked up welcomed us and made sure we gas everything we need. The only knock i would have is the breakfast on a sunday morning was just a couple pastries and Greek yogurt. ”
