The bar is very well stocked and the food at breakfast is very good.Lunch and evening meals are also of a high standard.”

“Lovely setting, great welcome, food superb, staff friendly and helpful We had the suite (kingfisher) which was an excellent room except for a radiator being stuck on in the bathroom. The lady in charge (lovely lass) managed to get it sorted as the outside temp was up in the 30’s!!! If I have any criticism of the room, a little use of bleach would have gone a long way but please don’t let that put you off. The place is very very good. “The staff was very helpful and friendly . We had breakfast there which was very nice . Didn't like the Coffee and Tea in the Room's . Carpets was stained ,Shelf in Bathroom was very dirty . Hotel needs a mega upgrade , but for the price it was o.k. Bed's where good to sleep in ,could have done with an extra Pillow . Is a very low budget Hotel .”

“Great guest house, great room, great en suite, great breakfast and friendly attendant. Probably the cleanest place we've stayed in. Very close to the railway station and only a few minutes' walk into the town centre. You could hear a bit of traffic but it soon blended in to the background.”

“I arrived with my 8 year old for a 2 night stay during a very hot heatwave. Upon checking in I proceeded to attempt to use the little elevator which got stuck between floors with me inside so I went back down and carried my heavy suitcase up the stairs. I immediately noticed how stifling hot the room was and saw the thermostat had a spanner symbol on. I had to call down 2x to get assistance which came in the form of a small fan.
