Not what I expected
Beautiful hotel from the outside, poor location with lots of dirty areas surrounding hotel. Staff not very friendly upon check in and not very helpful or forthcoming. Poor plumbing in our room. Toilet would not flush unless you flushed twice and shower would not drain. Only toiletries offered were a body wash that was used as your hand soap as well as shampoo. I expected a beautiful hotel corporation would be far much better and offer more for their guests. I will give a positive feedback on their breakfast that is offered in the dining hall. More offerings than your typical continental breakfast.

Not a great area of town. It seems as though they have special "Expedia" rooms. Our room was on the fourth floor, but the elevator only goes to the third floor. There was no one to take our bags up. The women at the front desk were very helpful, but out experience with a couple of the men was with their snooty attitude. The place was very noisy all night long with people moving furniture near our room into the early morning hours. The bed was like a piece of wood with some padding on it, not a real mattress. However, the food was outstanding! We dined in the dining room one night and it was fabulous, beautifully presented and amazing taste.

Let me clarify that you book an economy room that is the basic tipology . Expedia provide also other tipology of rooms .All the economy rooms are located on the fourh floor and they are reachable by the elevetor , maybe you used the wrong one that takes you only on the third floo r. I can assure you that all our rooms are equipped with real mattress , some of them maybe are not softer than other. However I apologize if these problem partial spoiled your stay , for this reason in case you will come in Rome I will take care of you personally in order to change your mind about Th Carpegna .Best Regards.Manuela fom

The room we got had a very low ceiling with an awkward beam that was not very safe. My husband hit his head a couple of times.

Platz ist wunderbar, ein bisschen ausserhalb city center aber Mitte in einem Park und super ruhig. Eine gute Adresse mit kostenlosem Parkplatz und sehr guter Frühstück. Schade dass die Eierspezialitäten nur gegen Aufpreis sind. Zimmer sind schön und komfortabel, Badzimmer sind sauber aber renovationsbedürftig. Preisleistung war für mich ganz ok.

The hotel is beautiful, although very expensive for bed and breakfast. It could do with installing a spa, pool, sauna etc. And, providing tea/coffee facilities in room for £200 per night.

Overall a good stay. Breakfast was lacking and staff aren’t overly friendly but nothing that would put me off staying again. The property is gorgeous and the room was well appointed. A little out of the city but very close to the metro.

Max 3 star hotel
+ beautiful hotel on the outside. Nice staff. Easy to take the metro in to Rom. - dust in our room, big need for a renovation of the bathroom, the water pressure from the shower was terrible low, spotted some mold in the shower. The hotel has potiential to be a 4 star hotel or more with renovation in the rooms but it’s Max 3 star hotel.

Average stay
When you arrive it’s a wow the reception bar and restaurant are amazing. The room we were in could have done with a bathroom upgrade. The tiles were damaged and the shower wasn’t great. The door to the shower was broken and didn’t close properly. The air con was great but was round the corner from the beds so had to have the fan higher for you to feel it. Bed really comfortable The area isn’t great, we didn’t feel 100% safe. The walk to the metro was a observe your surrounds and walk. There is a supermarket next door which is handy.

Excellent stay at the property and would definetely come back. I was particularly impressed by two members of staff Cinzia and Andrea. They were very friendly and welcoming. The proximity to the metro is also a plus, good restaurants nearby too. The property is stunning and we would definetely come back.
