“Gordon Lodge has so much to do that is included. Paddle boarding, kayaking, biking, swimming, and breakfast! All included. Best location in Door County. We will not stay anyplace else and have been going every other year for the last 18 years.”

“There's a lot to like about Ephraim Motel. The staff is welcoming. It's located in a more quiet place surrounded by trees/woods, away from the road. Breakfasts are quite good. Unfortunately, the pool was not working for a couple of days, but that wasn't a major issue. Just a comfy, pleasant vibe all around, including the rooms. I would recommend, however, something to make the showers/bathtubs less slippery (could be a problem if someone falls), and perhaps a nightlight. Otherwise..... A...

“Nice room. Clean and comfortable. Good location. However, no deadbolt. Just a very simple indoor type lever door knob leading directly outside. I’d give 5 stars if I felt the room was more secure.”

“We enjoyed our 3-night stay there! The only thing we would change was the location of our room; it was RIGHT off the lobby near the Breakfast room and door to go outside in back. So it got a little noisy at times. Otherwise, things were great!”

“Very convenient; however, you do hear a lot of vehicle traffic driving past the motel. The room was clean, they don’t do daily room service unless you ask. Bathroom was clean, and the tub drained with no issues.”

We suspect it must have been a converted motel at some point but it has been done incredibly well, the rooms are clean, fresh, comfortable and quiet (even with neighbours either side of us). While we didn't meet or see the staff, all of the communications and information required to check in/out was excellent and the location just down by the harbour was great. Would thoroughly recommend”
