“I booked the room for my colleague, she said, "the hotel is dodgy, quite dirty and a hostel with interesting characters, smells of weed and generally no safety… the breakfast was really bad and I was the only one there… it seems like it’s not a hotel that is actually used for tourism/business." She felt so unsafe that she left after the first night. I am writing to request a refund. Please advise.”

“Pretty horrific. Given room in alternative building which is open to anyone to walk in to. Went to room and someone was in the bed. Massive fright for both of us. Then back to reception where I was subjected to the third degree like it was my mistake before being issued a new room. I was going to say fresh room but there is absolutely nothing fresh about this place. Brutal. Avoid.”

“Where to begin. The staff were all super friendly and polite and the lifts work quickly, I think thats about where the good points end. The hotel is utterly falling apart. The main reception is relatively well maintained and clean looking, the other attached reception is abandoned, falling apart, the bar and resturaunt is closed and abandoned, the main door doesn't work, missing carpets with exposed rotting ply-wood on the floor and walls with random bits of rubbish and broke furniture spread...

“Best kept secret in Scotland. Karolyn and Chris were fantastic hosts. We spent 1 night here but wish we had spent the other 9 nights here as well. Beautiful property and most comfortable bedding I’ve had outside my own home (including 4-star hotels). The breakfast was 5-star worthy. Worth the lodging price alone!! I told them they should charge more - I will figure out how to tip them…”

“La struttura è suggestiva sia fuori che dentro, il parcheggio è ampio. Al nostro arrivo abbiamo avuto un problema con la camera (lenzuola pulite ma presenza di peli/capelli), e l’addetto alla reception ci ha gentilmente proposto di cambiare camera. La camera La colazione è abbastanza varia, presenta molte opzioni salate/scozzesi ma anche diverse alternative dolci e ci è piaciuta.”

“Un poco fuori da Aberdeen, all'interno di un parco, molto gradevole la vista esterna. Stanza molto grande con prese in posizioni scomode, in bagno il lavabo aveva 2 rubinetti separati e da uno usciva acqua troppo calda dall'altro acqua fredda, ma nel complesso la stanza andava bene. La stanza con i fregi ed il camino molto interessante e di effetto, solo andrebbero almeno sostituiti i cuscini di tutti i divani e poltrone. Colazione parzialmente self-service, in parte a richiesta servita.”

“Great location. Night time staff were friendly. Games provided in the public area a welcome surprise. Most are free to play. Hidden car park charges shocking not advised at the booking, be aware. Room clean, only negative feedback is lack of surface space. Room was a good size and very clean. I would stay again. Grandson loved the hotel.”

“Great hotel for comfort, elegance of spaces, cleaneliness of the room, high quality of breakfast. Location at the edge of Aberdeen, Garthdee, close to Robert Gordon University. Only a little misunderstanding about booking, quickly resolved by the receptionist.”
