“Family stay visiting the Jurassic coast region this cottage is a little way set back from the coast but in a quiet rural location .We visited Whitby , Robin Hood Bay and Scarborough . Cottage is clean and comfortable , with everything you need in kitchen . A very well maintained garden and lovely outlook over farmland . ”

“Donot know about the bar as I donot drink, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean. Parking is ok. The property has been renovated to a high standard, but work is still being done.”

The only thing that could be made better would be an addition of a full drench shower because there was certainly room for one”

“Ho passato una notte in questo ostello e decisamente lo raccomando sia per la sua suggestiva location che per la particolare atmsfera dell'ambiente che lo circonda. Davvero un posto particolare. Trattandosi di un ostello i servizi sono adeguati allo standard della struttura. Ottimo rapporto qualita' prezzo. Ma , ripeto, il pezzo forte e' la posizione a fianco delle rovine dell'Abbazia che dominano la cittadina. Non lo consiglio a chi ama pernottare in centro citta' o in luoghi affollati e...

“The hotel is a bit dated, but that adds to its charm. It had an excellent restaurant and a very well stocked bar. Lovers of real ale will delight in the 8 handpumps! The location cannot be faulted - step outside and you see the famous Abbey on the headland. Magical. The room was well appointed and cannot be faulted. Overall a great place to stay.”
