“We had a really great stay at Villa Marcela. It is perfectly located just off the main road in La Fortuna so you are close to all the action but out of the way a bit. There is plenty of space at the house for everyone to have their own rooms. The kids loved playing in the pool in the evening after a long day of exploring. There is tons to do all within about an hour drive of the house, including arenal volcano, zip lines, river tubing, waterfalls, El Salto rope swing, and so much more.”

“The staff was very helpful with booking tours and answering questions for our trip. They were very great with helping me get a flower arrangement for my wife and having it wait6at the property when we arrived. We celebrated our 5th Anniversary hear. The villa is located conveniently to town. Lots of birds and catching the spunds of some howlers in the distance. There are some Giant Toads that will visit you on the back dek at night. They mind their own business tho.”

“We would highly recommend Villa Maria!The house was in a fantastic location, we could easily walk to town, sodas, restaurants and El Salto. It was clean and we felt very safe. The birds were amazing and the views of Arenal when the clouds are away is just unreal. The communication of the property manger was fantastic. “Great house, a short walk to LaFortuna town center with all the amenities you would need -- Groceries, restaurants and souvenirs. House worked well for our family of 7. Kitchen stocked with decent pots, dishes and cooking utensils. Pool provides a nice break after a day of touring. Property pictures accurately represent house. Listing states no a/c in living area. Additional cooling in those spaces would make the property even better ”

“We had a great time staying in this location. The view of the volcano is so nice, and the yard is beautifully landscaped. Being so close to the highway, you can sometimes hear a bit of traffic, but it wasn't too bad. Having Soda La Palma next door was great! We ate there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We stayed all over Costa Rica during our 12 day trip, and one of the highlights was the chilera served with the empanadas. The garden behind the soda is beautiful and my daughter loved Balu...

“The property is beautiful and security was stellar. My only piece of feedback and recommendation would be for there to be more clothes hangers. We had to go buy some. Additionally, there really needs to be pool towels, using the white bath towels for the pool wasn’t great. We had to wash them multiple times.”

“It was very nicely decorated and was up to date. We loved the outside area and the proximity to downtown. It was great we could drive our car right in and close the gate. We felt safe in the neighborhood and walking to the nearby grocery store and downtown. We would stay here again! ”
