“Unfortunately, this hotel does not meet the expectations of a four-star property. The common areas are dirty, and the carpets throughout the hotel are visibly stained and poorly maintained. There are strong and unpleasant odors on the floors, which immediately give a sense of poor hygiene. The room is poorly lit, and the so-called shower is not a proper shower but a bathtub, which is uncomfortable and impractical. “This hotel is a hidden gem! The host, Maria, is truly wonderful. Her attention to detail is fab, and she couldn't be anymore helpful and welcoming. Maria stayed late for my colleagues check in and then came in early to accommodate us for an early breakfast. The dinner was divine - strongly recommend the tikka curry. Home cooked, beautiful meal. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I will ensure I book here when I visit Birmingham again!!!”

“This must be the most disgusting place I ever stayed in. It's really hard to even describe... everything is old and ugly, it really is in a bad state. The host welcomed us with air freshner but it still stunk. The host had the nerve to charge us £10 for late check-in. The bed made me want to go home really desperately. My room was number 11. Oh, and the horrible bath is shared amongst at least 8 rooms.”
