“This was a great stay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They gave us the connecting rooms that I forgot to book. We left behind a few items and they saved them when we called the next day. The only negative thing was the water is super cold in the swimming pool”

“At one point, Rainbow Motel.may have been down, but the new owners are worki g to turn the experience around. What you get: a clean room with TV and a comfortable bed and shower. But, youre also RIGHT across from arguably one of the BEST bakeries in the country (Weber's Bakery -fresh morning sonuts and pastries), around the corner from Chicago's most popular beef sandwich (Portillo's), within a 2 minute walk of several other restaurants as well as an Aldi, Walgreens and Ace Hardware. BUT......

“We came to run the marathon for the first time in Chicago and we discovered an oasis in oak park. The location was close to the train to get into the city. The neighborhood was both historic and very walkable. A number of very good restaurants were near by. Host was excellent and very responsive to all our questions. I wish we had more time to explore.”

“The stafff were wonderful. Very friendly and welcoming. My only less than exceptional experience was my first morning at breakfast. The restaurant staff was unfriendly and slammed my plate down and didn’t offer a refill of my empty glass. My only bad experience during my stay. ”
