Hotel vicino a Shafran Conservation Area - Tolland

“Good facility, needs remodeling and upgrade, but clean and staffed well. The hotel is directly off the highway, and walking distance to 4 or 5 good restaurants, so a very convenient stop for a traveler to Hartford or surrounding suburbs.”

“My room didn’t have any towels, and when I went to the front office, there was no one there for about 10 minutes. I had to wait, my towels were then given to me, but that was quite an inconvenience after a long day. Also, I questioned the cleanliness of my room because there was hair that wasn’t mine in quite a few places. ”

“The parking lot was mostly clean, the restaurant next door was shut down, and sort of looked permanent. Check-in was smooth and without any issues. I checked in somewhere around 11:30 on a Saturday night. They did have a ballroom full of people and there were two police officers or armed security guards for that. Not sure if it is common practice there. There is no elevator, as mentioned in some other reviews so definitely need to walk stairs. It appears that it used to be some sort of two...

“The staff was great. The room was sparse. I was on the first floor at my request. Outside our window for 2 days was trash. I asked them to remove it on the third day. They were very apologetic and explained they had somebody out sick So I totally understood. We had our dog with us, and they made us very comfortable with having him there. Nice people just a very average hotel.”

“Stayed just for a few hours. Couldn't get the TV to work, plus the other people in the rooms next to me had kids running up and down the stairs and being loud in the hallways. The bed was a vast improvement from last time. It was worth it for a few hours stay and and a good nap. I will return in the future.”

“Don’t book if you are bringing a pet and don’t want to pay $150 pet fee. We stayed one night and had paid almost $200. When booking on Expedia it said NOTHING about a pet fee (also it never had you say you were bringing a pet) so to be blindsided with a fee that was only $45 less than we had already paid. Basically we paid double what we expected. What a scam…I am all about the fee if informed up front…not when you have already arrived and have no choice. That amount is also insane for one...
