“This hotel, originally named the Stonewall Jackson, is over 100 years old, but has aged reasonably well. The rooms are small by modern standards (at least those with ony 1 bed), but adequate. “Room was nice ! Bathroom nice with an extra big shower . I like that they had the old school bottles of shampoo & Con. As well as bar soap. I don't like those dispensers! Plenty of towels & a blow dryer . Hard bed but fine . Soft sheets and ok pillows . There was no iron or board; no fridge . I was surprised with that as those seem pretty basic nowadays . Staff was very nice ;) check in was easy. Parking in back of hotel . Location was everything !!! Safe and walkable to all of downtown ....

“This place was magical! It’s history, the place is very well maintained and gorgeous. The staff is very nice. The food and amenities were top notch. We went as a family with 3 kids and we all had a great experience. The spa is a must and the local hot springs is wonderful….. I want to go back dinner than later”

“The property grounds are absolutely beautiful with multiple cottages, gardens, lakes, and outside seating areas by the water. Harry's Restaurant on site has great food and a lovely outdoor seating area where you can watch the ducks, geese and white swans float by. Unfortunately, the lodging in the main two-story building is nothing special and does not match the exquisite property. We had just a one-night stay so didn't get to use the amenities and activities.”

“We had a wonderful stay at the cabin yesterday! The place was very clean, cozy, and well-maintained. The views were absolutely beautiful and made the experience even more relaxing. Communication with the host was smooth and quick, which made everything easy from check-in to check-out.One thing we especially loved was the jacuzzi—it was amazing, clean, and perfect for relaxing after a long day. The area was also very peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect little getaway. Highly recommend!”
