“A charming Inn to stay and enjoy all that passes by in Lock 7. Hskp staff very attentive and don’t miss a thing. Room 25 on 3rd floor is not perfect for photography as the neighbouring tree blocks a full shot of the ship in the lock. Balconies are a real plus and very clean! The chairs at the table are getting tired and should be replaced. Overall we had a wonderful stay. Make sure you visit the quaint town of Thorold. Lots of cafes and shops to enjoy within walking distance!”

“Motel molto modesto. Camere e arredamento fatiscente. Odore di stantio. Porta di accesso che si poteva chiudere da interno solo con chiavistello a catena. Colazione povera servita in spazio angusto. Nel compenso personale gentile e disponibile.”

“The room was a place to stay for a night. The bed was comfortable enough, there was a fridge and a microwave in the room. The clerk was pleasant. It was a no frills stay and that’s fine for the price. Only thing that might bother some is the a/c was noisy. It didn’t bother me.”

“Personale molto scadente. Poco cortese. Eccetto il signore più anziano che sorrideva ed é stato molto gentile. Gli altri tre ((2 giovani e una signora piu anziana) erano molto scortesi. Camera scadente. Anche se sarebbe una bella stanza ampia e ricca di mobili. Comunque il prezzo era buono e anche vicina alle cascate. (15 minuti a piedi). Il ritorno é un po' in salita. ”

“It was cheap and as described. Lots of parking and was walkable to restaurants. A little spot maintenance and a paint job would do so much for the rooms. The lobby looks so nice and then you walk into a room that’s quite dated. But like I said it’s as advertised, breakfast was good.”

“This is a criticism of the hospitality industry, and is not specific to this property. As an asthmatic and allergy sufferer, the industry has got to take steps to understand that scents are not for everyone. From aromatic soaps and shampoos, which is pretty much a norm, it’s now stepped over to use of highly scented disinfectants and use of scented air fresheners and spraying scents on furniture, and its gotten to be a bit much. “Hotel was clean but dated. The power outlets in the room did not work. The front desk advised that there was nobody available to fix the issue and that there were no rooms available to move us to. The TV controller worked but was split in half. The shampoo was empty in the shower.”

“An average motel. Good for short stays, also has a pool which is not a bad thing if you spend time here during summer.”

“First and last time. Great disappointment! Would not recommend. Dirty unsanitary washroom. Trash on the floor. Staff not helpful. Paper thin walls, you could hear people talking like they are in your room. zero customer service. It’s hard for me to give this kind of review, but I’m just being honest.”
